Ethiopian Airlines' new hangar

       The project is located at Bole Airport in the southeast corner of Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. It was contracted in cooperation with China Aviation Technology International Engineering Co., Ltd. and started construction on January 3, 2013, with a duration of 915 days. The maintenance and painting hangar is a Class I aircraft hangar with a maximum height of 36.5 meters. The structure consists of steel columns and a steel grid roof. The building area is 33900 square meters, with a span of 82 meters and a depth of 90 meters. The lower chord of the grid is 20.5 meters high on both sides and 25.5 meters in the middle. The apron and taxiway meet the taxiing requirements of Class E aircraft. The apron taxiway is arranged according to three B747-400 aircraft, with a newly built apron area of approximately 31981 square meters and a shoulder area of 1242.5 square meters.
