The TKU Highway Renovation Project in Kazakhstan runs from Tardikurgan to Ust Kamenogorsk, serving as a southeast northwest main highway connecting Almaty Oblast and East Kazakhstan Oblast. The total length of the highway is 786 kilometers, with a designed speed of 120 km/h. Beijing Shougang Construction Group Co., Ltd. is mainly responsible for all construction and installation work for the 54 kilometer third construction contract section. The project started in June 2018 and was completed and put into operation in December 2024.
