The Chinese Century Altar project was completed in August 1998. The rotating circular altar body is constructed with steel structure, with a building area of 1735m2, a main steel structure of 1100 tons, and a sloping cylindrical body with an outer diameter of Φ 47 meters in the middle. The project was awarded the "Beijing Structural Great Wall Cup" in August 2001 and the "China Construction Steel Structure Gold Award" in April 2003.
