This project is the central flower bed of Tiananmen Square in 2008, consisting of a bonsai platform and a standing pole. The standing pole can be replaced, with the Chinese seal standing pole rotating, while the Paralympic and National Day palace lantern standing poles do not rotate. Structural system: The bonsai platform consists of two parts: the main and secondary structures. The main structure includes four orthogonal steel trusses (placed at a 45 degree angle to the central axis of Tiananmen Square) and detachable Chinese vertical columns (connected to the revolving seat through flanges). The entire structure transfers loads to the ground through wooden nodes. For convenience, a 32 ton counterweight has been arranged at the corresponding position of the structure. The secondary support structure of the bonsai platform, except for the main structure, adopts steel pipe scaffolding, and the entire bonsai platform is covered with steel mesh.
The diameter of the flower bed bonsai platform is 28 meters, and the main structure consists of four orthogonal steel trusses made of channel steel [20a], with a length of 12 meters, a width of 4 meters, and a height of 2.25 meters. The transmission platform base is made of rolled steel H400 × 400 × 13 × 21, with a length of 4 meters, a width of 4 meters, and a height of 2.25 meters.
The Chinese Indian vertical pole consists of a main pole body and a secondary truss. The main pole body is made of rolled Φ 900 × 16 steel pipe, which is 14.3 meters long; The secondary truss is composed of 20 years, with a length of 14.3 meters and a width of 10 meters. The amount of steel used in the project is about 132 tons.
The flower bed rotating device is driven by two motors, each of which can be driven separately. The rotating device is connected to the flange of the steel transmission platform base, and the Chinese vertical pole is connected to the flange of the rotating device.
The steel structure company mainly undertakes the production and installation of the main steel structure of the flower bed, with a total weight of 107 tons.
