From June 23 to July 12, 2011, Shougang Qiangang Company conducted a 20 day maintenance on the steelmaking system of the 2nd converter in its first steelmaking plant. Shougang Construction Group has completed a series of maintenance tasks on schedule, smoothly, safely, and with quality assurance, including the replacement of the transverse flue, the transverse moving car, and the cover skirt of the 2 # converter flue system, the adjustment of the main flue, the maintenance of the converter tilting device, the replacement of the furnace top protective cover, the maintenance of the oxygen lance and auxiliary lance, and the maintenance of the electrical system. After maintenance, the hot test of the 2 # converter steelmaking system was successful in one attempt, and all equipment operated normally with stable production, receiving unanimous praise from Qiangang Company.

       The implementation of the maintenance project for the 2 # converter steelmaking system in Shougang Qiangang Company's steelmaking plant once again proves that Shougang Construction Group has the ability to carry out full system maintenance for converter steelmaking and can provide high-quality and efficient services to the owner units.
