From March 5th to March 24th, 2012, after 18 days and 8 hours, Shougang Construction Group successfully completed the major overhaul and renovation project of the No. 4 converter at Shandong Rizhao Steel Plant, 16 hours ahead of the planned schedule of 19 days.

       The focus of this renovation project is: primary and secondary dust removal renovation, converter expansion renovation and flue replacement, furnace wall panel renovation and replacement, and dust removal box production and replacement; The difficulty lies in the large workload, tight schedule, narrow working environment, and large demolition volume, requiring five days to demolish a 450 ton project.

       This renovation project has invested a large amount of manpower and material resources, with three shifts of work, clear division of labor, reasonable process arrangement, and successfully solved the problems of difficulty in positioning the primary and secondary dust removal equipment, as well as the lifting of the converter support ring and furnace shell. The project has been completed ahead of schedule and has been recognized and praised by the owner.
