The project is located within the Yanqing Solar Power Research Base in Yanqing District, Beijing. The main body of the engineering renovation is the original Chinese Academy of Sciences solar collection test tower, with a eaves height of 119.45m. The original structure was a reinforced concrete frame tube structure system. The main construction content consists of two parts: one is to add steel structure rings to the roof, with a size of about 38mX17mX3m. The five ring signs and ribbons are made of spatial lattice steel structure, connected to the tower body with steel trusses. The size of the steel truss is approximately 20.7mX11mX45m. The total weight of the five ring emblem is about 50 tons; The second is to add a total of 6 landscape ribbons from top to bottom on the exterior facade. The ribbon structure is a steel pipe skeleton structure, with a total length of about 118m per ribbon and a total weight of about 256 tons. The outer side of the ribbon is covered with steel cables, transparent ETFT film, and floodlights, reflecting various color effects. This project adopts a simple and atmospheric design style, presenting ice and snow Olympic elements after completion, and is one of the iconic buildings of the Winter Olympics.
